VetRec Achieves GDPR Compliance: Strengthening Privacy, Security, and Trust

We’re excited to share that VetRec is now officially GDPR compliant.

This milestone reflects something that has always been at the heart of VetRec: earning and keeping our customers’ trust. As more clinics adopt cloud-based tools and AI to support their workflows, we know that privacy, security, and transparency matter just as much as features and speed.

GDPR is one of the world’s most rigorous data protection frameworks, designed to give individuals more control over their personal data. By meeting these standards, we’re reinforcing our commitment to doing things the right way for clinics, teams, and the clients they serve.

Our Commitment to Privacy, Strengthened Security Foundation & Our Journey to Compliance

At VetRec, privacy and security aren’t an add-on; they’re built into everything we do. Achieving GDPR compliance is a natural extension of the work we’ve already done to protect customer data through SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA compliance, as well as strong encryption for data in transit and at rest. Over the past few months, we went through a detailed GDPR readiness and validation process. That meant:

• Reviewing and updating our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

• Formalizing internal policies and training around data handling

• Strengthening processes for data access, retention, and deletion

• Ensuring our systems, vendors, and workflows align with GDPR requirements

We also leaned on best-in-class tooling, including automated monitoring and compliance platforms, to make sure our controls are both robust and sustainable as we grow.
